Manager Overrides

Understand how much your manager is making from your deals.

WHY?

I've had too many friends that were promised the world and then got screwed over by their companies or managers. They grinded their asses off and got sales only to have their managers say they canceled but when they reached out to the customer themselves they said got installed by their manager. Of course the classic their managers not paying out the backend. The worst part is they are still getting away with it.

I want to make a difference where the shitty companies and managers wont get reps and the good ones will get them all. Help out your fellow reps.

Together, we'll make bad companies irrelevant

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Overrides Insider and how it helps sales reps get real transparency.

What is Overrides Insider?
Look, we're basically Glassdoor if Glassdoor actually gave a shit about door-to-door reps. You know how every recruiter promises you "unlimited earning potential" and "best comp structure in solar"? Yeah, we're the place where reps tell you what they ACTUALLY made, what their overrides ACTUALLY looked like, and whether fulfillment ACTUALLY delivered or left customers hanging for 6 months. Anonymous reviews. Real numbers. No recruiter BS. That's it.
Who is Overrides Insider for?
If you've ever knocked a door, this is for you. Solar, roofing, pest control, alarms, internet, HVAC doesn't matter. If you're selling D2D and trying to figure out which company won't screw you over with clawbacks, you're in the right place. Whether you're brand new and picking your first gig, or you're a veteran rep who's tired of getting lied to by recruiters, we've got the data you need to make smarter moves.
How does Overrides Insider work?
Pretty simple: reps submit reviews. We organize the data. You get to see what companies are actually like before you sign that non-compete. Reps tell us about commissions, overrides, redlines, fulfillment, management style, all that stuff recruiters conveniently forget to mention. Then we put it in a format that doesn't make your eyes bleed. Think Glassdoor meets the streets. Except we actually care about what matters to reps.
Do I have to give my name or email to submit?
Your name? Hell no. We won't put your name anywhere unless you specifically want credit for your review. Most reps don't, and that's totally fine. Your email? Yeah, we ask for it, but here's the deal: it's purely for internal use. We're never sharing it with companies, never selling it, never putting it anywhere public. We just need it so we can keep the database clean and reach out if something looks off with a submission. But your review itself? Totally anonymous. Your company will never know it was you. So yeah, your manager's not gonna find out you roasted their comp plan. Promise.
What industries are covered?
All the door-knocking industries. Residential solar, commercial solar, energy providers, roofing, pest control, alarms, smart home, internet, cable, telecom, windows, doors, HVAC if it's being sold D2D, we want it on here. If you're knocking doors and someone's making overrides off your hustle, we're tracking it.
How do you keep submissions trustworthy?
Real talk: we look for patterns. If something smells like a fake review (like a manager hyping up their own company or a competitor trying to trash-talk), we do our best to catch it and boot it. We track timelines (when you worked there, how long, what role), so you can spot if someone's reviewing a company from 2019 or last month. And if 15 reps say a company has shady clawbacks and one review says "best place ever," you're gonna see the pattern pretty quick. Companies can't pay us to hide reviews. Ever. And we're not letting fake reviews pollute the database either. Multiple reps. Real experiences. Actual verification. That's how we keep it legit.
Is this free to use?
Yep. Browsing reviews and submitting your own is 100% free. Always has been, always will be. Down the road, we want to work with the best companies on the platform the ones with solid comp plans and good reputations to help connect them with reps like you. But the reviews, the data, the transparency? That stays free forever. We're not here to gatekeep transparency. That would kinda defeat the whole purpose.
Can companies see who submitted a review?
Absolutely not. When you submit a review, we strip out all the personally identifiable stuff. Companies only see the data you shared, never who you are. So go ahead and roast that shady comp plan. Your manager will never know it was you.
What's the ultimate goal of Overrides Insider?
Simple: stop letting companies hide behind vague promises and BS comp structures. And more importantly, expose the ones that straight up steal from reps. For too long, sales orgs have thrived on confusion. They bury the redlines in fine print. They promise "top earners make $300K" without mentioning those top earners have been there for 7 years and manage a team of 50. They talk up the comp plan but forget to mention fulfillment takes 9 months and half your deals get clawed back. But here's the real problem: some companies just don't pay what they owe. They don't pay out backend. They charge fake adders. They find creative ways to steal your commissions and hope you don't notice. We're here to expose those companies, by name, so reps stop getting screwed. We're shining a light on all of it, so you can pick the right company, keep more of what you earn, avoid the ones that'll rob you blind, and stop getting played by recruiters who get paid whether you succeed or not. Power back in the reps' hands. That's the whole point.
